(Updated 7-16-2010)
The rerun date of my guest-starring role from this last season's "NCIS - Los Angeles" is scheduled for Tuesday, July 27th, on CBS (check your local listing for time). The episode name is (Keepin' it Real - show #106 or 06).
DVD's are available for my episode in this 5th season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" (A Very Sunny Christmas - episode #501) from the FX Network online or through Amazon. My recurring role of Luther (Mac's Dad) and has been that since the 2nd season when the character was initially named Bill but changed to Luther.
I am currently in negotiations to shoot a trilogy feature film in China called "Empires of the Deep", a fantasy epic adventure story, which could take me abroad for 3-4 months in October.
Also I have been offered the lead "bad guy" role in another film called "2nd Unit" shooting in Costa Rica scheduled for late this fall or possibly early winter of 2011 which I hope will not conflict with the film in China. Otherwise I will be forced to choose between them - which I hope I won't have to do.
Look for reruns of my former episodes. The 4th season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", episode title (Mac and Charlie Die-Part I & Part II), on the FX Network.
I had previously worked on a new project that Danny DeVito produced (possibly for TV or the Web). We shot short scenes for a group of episodes/short stories. It's nice to get calls to work from people such as him. He's not only an extremely talented actor, but also a really great guy, and has directed many notable films and produced many more than that over the years.
My other episodes of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", with Danny DeVito, ("Dennis Looks like a registered sex offender-episode #305), aired in it's 3rd season on the FX Network Channel. Look for the previous episode from the 2nd season, "Dennis and Dee get a New Dad", episode #211. Any previously aired episodes could rerun when they air my most recent episode. Look for them on the web - FX Network channel as well and they are all available at Netflix and other similar distributors.
My episode of "Numb3ers", episode title (Money for Nothing-episode #323) for CBS/Paramount TV, first aired in Friday, May 11th of 07' on CBS. Look for it in reruns if you missed it or online.
Over a year ago I played just a cameo role on a film called "Winged Creatures", which is currently released video under the title "Fragments", an independent production which should get a great deal of notice since it was the first film Forest Whitaker won after receiving his recent Academy Award. The film is directed by Rowan Woods and includes a stellar cast which includes Kate Beckinsale, Guy Pierce, and many others. I took a very small role in this one for the chance to work with a great cast.
Previously I performed a guest starring role (Jeb Sanders), on the T.V. episodic series "Standoff'', episode title (Lie to Me). This already aired so look for it in reruns.
Closing out 2006 I had finished another comic role on the new series "Big Day", episode #112 (The Ceremony).
My "Bones" episode from two seasons ago, (The Bone in the Girl), aired so quickly I even missed it!-so look for it to re-run also.
Also keep looking for the El Pollo Loco Commercial with me as the knife throwing French Chef - I finally got to use my expert knife throwing skills again - always fun for me!
And keep an eye out for my lead roles in my two previous films; "Johnny Virus" and "Breaking Dawn". If you didn't see "The Italian Job" or my appearance as the co-lead (bad guy) in the formerly aired "Hunter-Back in Force" two hour Movie of the Week, check out the any of these in the video stores or online, along with the many other movies and TV shows I have done over the years (see my resume for shows).
"Cliffhanger", "Last of the Dogmen", "Stone Cold", "Purgatory", "Batman Returns", to name just a few.
I also have a special place in my heart for a Television Pilot that was shot years ago by Bill Wittliff, then called "Ned Blessing", but currently on DVD as "Lone Justice II". It was humbly a wonderful role and a well written ensemble western piece written by a master writer in Mr. Wittliff.
Again, if you're interested in seeing any of these shows or the many other shows that are either re-running on T.V., or can be rented in stores or online on DVD, I do not have all the movies and TV shows on my resume, (they don't fit on my professional resume) however; you can do a search for any show searching my name on IMDB.com and find any film or TV episode that I've been in. Often they list when they're going to rerun any film or TV episode within every two week period on that web site. If you know what channel is rerunning a particular show, go to the network site and they often list the upcoming shows further in advance. Most feature films can be found on DVD in stores or online.
I've still had to temporarily put my teaching on hold. I have recently been contacted by so many people who've expressed their desire to train and learn how to prepare for and how to be successful in the Film and Television business, which is what my classes focus on among other things. Check out my Acting Class for Film and Television class description. I believe and actor must continually train, study, and work on stage (theater) as much as possible; but because the film and T.V. industry are such different "animals" requiring new learned skills, my class, designed to teach these skills can not only save years of learning the hard way and making a lot of career ending mistakes along the way, but it can also make the difference between even getting started or not. So keep an eye out for classes to start at some point in the future.
I've also been working hard to complete my screenplays with the intention to produce/direct and act in my own independent films. I hope to initiate this in the next couple of years as my schedule permits. Additionally, I've been trying to find a break in my schedule to teach acting classes at the college or university level. This has always been my desire since completing my M.F.A. in Acting from U.C.L.A., but once I started working professionally, the work never seemed to allow me enough time to pursue that goal with great vigor. I plan on forcing the issue in the near future.
Thanks so much to all of you for all your support, kind comments, e-mails, and interest. Let's all look forward to continued success in all our endeavors, and of course, I wish all of you health and happiness. I'll keep you updated as best as I can. Until next time!
Greg
